The LSI’s Spine Surgeons Are the Key to Our Revolutionary 5-Day Process
At LSI, we offer patients more than highly trained spine surgeons, unmatched patient care, and excellent results. We offer them an efficient five-day treatment that gets them on the road to a pain-free life in less than a week. This short process is possible thanks to the gentle, minimally-invasive procedures administered by our gifted spine surgeons. Their high level of skill keeps trauma to the body at a minimum and the result is a quick, comfortable recovery for nearly all of our patients. Our outpatient procedures are performed in one of our state-of-the-art surgery centers and require only a small incision. Unlike traditional surgery, laser-assisted surgery never requires our spine surgeons to cut through muscle. All of these factors lend themselves to the fast nature of our treatment.
Here’s what LSI patients can expect:
- Day 1: At one of LSI’s treatment facilities we conduct a medical history and physical along with lab work, an EKG, and an MRI or X-Ray if needed.
- Day 2: One of our spine surgeons is assigned to your case and he discusses the upcoming surgery with you.
- Day 3: An anesthesiologist meets with you to discuss what methods will be used to keep you comfortable during the surgery. The procedure is performed.
- Day 4: A specialized physical therapy treatment is designed for you and the regimen is started.
- Day 5: A second session of physical therapy is conducted, the surgical incision is checked and you are permanently discharged from LSI.
This process has been perfected over several years by our spine surgeons and well-trained medical staff under the leadership of LSI founder and chief surgeon, Dr. James St. Louis. The positive results from our surgeries are well known, and as a result we perform more than 400 per month.
